So you want to send emails with gophish thru Google Workspaces gmail? Nice, because this is the tutorial for Gophish Google Workplaces Sending Profile Tutorial. There’s a few settings you have to enable as followed:
- Allow for less secure apps in the admin portal: https://admin.google.com/ac/security/lsa
- Wait.. 5 minutes to a few hours for the changes to go into effect (depends on Google’s mood)..
- Allow for less secure apps in your own profile next: https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps
- Now, use the following settings for the sending profile:
- smtp.gmail.com:465, your full email for SMTP from (without brackets), your full email for the username, and gmail password for the password slot. Ignore certs and you should be good!
Tip, if you’re getting a0 “555 5.5.2 Syntax error”, remove the brackets in the “SMTP from” field
